"Cape Cod is a very special place and those who live here are special people. It has been a wonderful environment in which to live and raise my family. But it is also a place of unique challenges.
As your State Representative, I will continue to work to meet the needs of those of us living here; our seniors, workers in need of housing, and, of course, our best hope for the future; our children.. We must do all this while maintaining the Cape's character and its fragile environment.
But all this will take money and an ability to live within a budget. We can't simply raise taxes on the backs of people in low paying jobs. Sadly, this state has experienced a large scale flight of its young, highly educated citizens due to a lack of real opportunities to succeed. We need to reverse that trend. I will work to bring real jobs to the state and to unburden the "little guy" owning a small business.
Of course, this will take a willingness on the part of your elected officials to work for you, not the leadership of the House or the PAC money that has corrupted the system. So on my first day on the job, I will file legislation to establish term limits for House members and work every day for true open government.
I have spent years working on your behalf to balance the interests of every Lower Cape resident I have always sought to earn your trust. I will always listen to your concerns.
